Rooted in Christ
Foundational Truths
Are you searching for a place to take root?
Many of us walk through life feeling like tumbleweeds-blown by the winds of stress, expectation, and uncertainty. We feel disconnected from our purpose and exhausted by the effort of trying to grow on our own. Whether you have followed Jesus for years or you aren’t even sure if He is real, this space is for you. We are all learning how to stop performing and start belonging.
Meet the Gardener
Why we call Him “The Gardener”
"Thinking he was the gardener, she said, ‘Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him…’”-John 20:15
There is a profound story about a woman named Mary who stood outside an empty tomb, heart-broken and lost. When she first saw Jesus, she didn’t recognize Him; she thought He was the man who tended the grounds-the gardener.
At The Mindful Mycelium, we believe she wasn’t entirely mistaken. We see Jesus as the Great Gardener-the one who stays with us in the dirt, who knows the potential hidden in a seed, and who is never afraid of the “weeds” in our lives.
Foundation 1: The Practice of Connection (Prayer)
Talking to the Gardener isn’t a performance; its an honest conversation. You don’t need '‘churchy’ words to be heard. He is already in the garden with you, ready to help you carry the heaviness of your season.
Foundation 2: The Study of the Word (The Blueprint)
We look to the Bible as the Gardener’s manual. It tells us how we were designed to function and reminds us that we are “grafted” into a life-source that never runs dry.
Foundation 3: The Beauty of the Dark (Abiding)
To the Gardener, being buried is the first step to being built. If you feel ‘in the dark’ right now, you aren’t lost; you are being prepared. Growth often happens most when we feel it the least.
