The Heart Behind the Garden
I’m Teri, and I believe that nothing I have walked through has been for my harm, but rather for my good and His glory.
My path hasn’t been an easy one. I have faced abuse, medical trauma, physical setbacks, and the daunting task of starting over without a family support system. For a long time, my life was defined by survival. But God, in His infinite kindness, has been my protection and my provider-even when I couldn’t see it. He has allowed me to witness beautiful beginnings, to lay down old survival traits, and to watch generational trauma come to an end.
The heart behind The Mindful Mycelium actually started in a hospital room. I was deep in a ‘winter season’ healing from a severe infection, when a small comment shifted my perspective. I stopped looking down at my circumstances and started looking for ways to create joy in the moments.
What started as a simple basket of snacks for my nurses quickly grew into something deeper-listening to others’ hard seasons and talking until we found the good in the moment together. This is what I want this space to be for you: a place to stop, breathe, and notice that even in the dirt, the Father is growing something beautiful.
I’m just a fellow traveler, so glad to be walking this path with you.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the lay of Christ.”
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up”
I know what it’s like to feel as thought you are navigating a winter season alone. But even in the quiet, there is space for connection. Whether you need a prayer, have a question, or simply need to exhale, I’m here to listen.
You don’t have to carry the weight by yourself.
Refill the Basket
The Mindful Mycelium is a space I want to keep open and free for every traveler. If you have found a bit of rest or nourishment here and feel led to help the garden grow, your support is a gift that sustains this ministry. It allows me to continue tending this soil and offering a listening ear to those hard seasons.
